I found I-boats last year when my boat wouldn't start and I needed some help. I thought that I was a pretty smart guy and knew a lot about boats and boating just from being out on the water for a couple of years. Boy was I wrong!!
When I bought my boat the top speed was 43 mph (GPS) and at that speed I was burning through fuel at an alarming rate. Now that I-boats has shown me how to maintain and properly tune the motor I can cruise at 40 mph. Today I had it up to 46 mph into the wind in light chop and I still had more throttle to give. I'm sure I could reach 50 mph if I gave it full throttle and maybe more if I went with the wind or no chop. It's just such a great feeling knowing that my 25 year old boat is running at it's full potential and i credit this site.
In particular I want to thank Don_S, Bondo, and Capt/Just jason. Sharing your knowledge has really improved my life and my time spent on the water.
