Can't figure it out

Hey everyone,

I have a 97 cajun with 200 johnson, took it out to the lake today and it was running great for about 10 minutes, then it loses power and won't even plan out, can't get it above 2000 rpm. Even when it was running good it would not go over 3000 rpm. carbs have been cleaned new spark plugs, etc.

What could be the problem?

Is this boat new to you?

3000 rpms is not right, and 2000?



Do a search on this site with the Title "Engine Won't Reach Operating RPM".

It is a great thread for your issue.
