I just picked up a 2001 30 HP Yamaha 3 cyl 2 stroke. Discovered the oil injection system has been disconnected and the fuel has been running pre-mixed.

Have been told that it is OK to just leave it and run pre-mix @ 50:1; others have said the engine wont run right after time unless I get it repaired.

Any advice would be nice....also....does anyone have a clue how much it costs to repair the system if it is actually broken and not just disconnected??

I called the dealer on this....IF the oil injection system needs replacing it is $950. I am not complaining as I only spent $1400 for this 2001 3 cyl. Thing runs like a champ and drives my 14' MirroCraft at 31 MPH (on plane) with my fishing gear and my 230 pound butt in it.
