Default 1986 Yamaha 200 (not ProV) cold start oil leak

Cold starts have become an ordeal.
Floods every time.
Took it to the shop, they replaced the primer bulb &
voltage regulator....got it back same problem, plus oil is running out of the bottom two carbs on the port side. Smoked alot & ran terrible for 15 minutes before
clearing up. Trailered her home (5 hours) and noticed
oil still seeping from those two same spots.
Any ideas? I've owned since 1994. Now has 700 hours.

most likly the oil pump check valves are leaking allowing gravity to fill the bottom two intake ports with oil.

Removed the cover over the carbs & found the oil leaking from a small
hole in the upper port side of the "carb plate thing"... the hole lead via a
hose on the back side to the side of the engine mounted oil tank (overflow??)
with a nipple like connector that contained a small check ball. The check ball appeared to be functioning. Are there other check balls? Thanks for all the help! Could this cause the hard starting?? Is there a oil level sensor switch somewhere?

do you have the check valve conversion kit in place or just the original joints?

I'm assuming you have the 200ETLJ model
