Hi All,

Picked up an absolute mint 25hp Evinrude 25602E. It's a tiller, with no controls or electric start. This is the first Evinrude I've owned, the rest have been Johnson's that have been in the 50's. Have the "Awakening Outboard" text in hand...

I'm just getting started, and am putting together a parts list to convert to electric start/controls, etc.

I see that a few parts are interchangable with my '59 Johnson 18 horse, but:

1. Can I use the starter from the Johnson?
2. Will anything prevent me from using an old Johnson or Gale Control Box?
3. Since there's no wiring harness for the 'rude, can I make something up from one of the Johnson's that I have (late 50's models)? I know the connectors are different, but can't I just take the stuff off the Johnson and move it to the 'rude?

I have so many parts laying around it's ridiculous, and would like to use 'em if I could. I have manuals, wiring diagrams, etc., and have no problems making something up.

Any advice is well appreciated!

Thanks
