I just got the motor, the guy I got it from said the water pump stopped pumping and he shut the motor down without over heating it. When he took the foot off and them impeller had come apart. He replaced the impeller and took an air hose and blew through the Pee hose and are flowed, so he put it back together and it does not pump water. I pulled the foot and took a water hose and run water from the Pee hose and water came out the foot around the copper line and a little out the copper line, but I can not get any to flow from the bottom of the foot ( Copper feed tube) to the Pee hose. I have never had any dealings with a Mercury before, and any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

First thing I would do is pull water tube out and run something thru it to verify no chunks of impeller are obstructing the tube.If ok remove rear cylinder block cover and inspect water jacket area for pieces of the impeller. You will be surprised at where these pieces can end up,and obstruct flow. Just my thoughts on what I have done in the past.

Its been raining, as soon as it clears up I am going to pull the power head and see If I am able to find where it is stopped up at, I am unable to get the copper line off.
