Alright I've been searching like crazy and here's my deal. I just bought a barge with a 98 SPL115 Johnson on it and it burned up 2 cylinders 2 days after buying it on the starboard bank. I have an old boat with a 140 on it that needs a stator, would this work for a powerhead swap? What is the difference's in these motors? The electronics are different but I will swap them if possible. The new blown motor is a J115TSLECM the old motor that needs stator is an E140TRL.
Both motors look like 90deg humpbacks.
