OK, I have a 1962 mercury 500 50 hp. I bought it from this guy who said it was bogging out, I took of the lower unit and the linkage came out. Now I can not get things to line up again. I had it put back together but it would shift to foward.What am I doing wrong.
When i took the lower unit off it was in neutral and now even with it in neutral it wont go back in?????
