I was wondering if anyone could tell me the rpm range for a 1979 Mercruiser 120 hp @ WOT. It has a stainless 19" pitch prop and as it is I can only get 4100 rpm's and barely get 36 mph trimming the outdrive with only one person in the boat. The boat is a 79 Stingray 17.5 Super Sport bowrider. I've done the math with the 200 rpm's per 1" of pitch and that comes out to 3800 rpm's but the motor to me just dose not seem to reach a high enough rpm. It may be all it can do.
