I have a 35 hp mercury that wont turn over when i turn the key but will when i jump the celenoid. The choke does not work either it I changed the celenoid and it all worked for about 2 weeks. Then it hapened again so i changed the celenoid again and nothing. I have power coming from ignition to celenoid. I am stumped please help.

Is the solenoid grounded properly? If it doesn't have a seperate lead for the ground make sure it is bare metal to bare metal where it mounts to the motor.
