Sunday afternoon my boat overheated (97 VP 3.0 GS PLKD). Upon inspection my power steering belt had broke, so my circulating water pump was not functioning. I was able to get towed in, and trailered the boat home. I trimmed the drive all the way up, but the next morning the drive was all the way down, and there was red fluid puddled in my driveway. Any suggestions on were to start?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Bad day

Since the fluid was outside of the boat, seems like there are only two possibilities hose or cylinder seal. Clean everything really well, put the drive back up and as mkast said "find the leak":D.

I'm sorry. I forgot to make it clear that the plug was out. The fluid leaked out from inside the boat.

Still the same process, FIND THE LEAK.
Wipe everything down nice and clean, then watch it.
Might even have someone operate the trim up and down while you watch all the connections, hoses, etc.
We can't see the leaks for you, you have to do that yourself.
