Need some advice on a stalling problem with a 69 johnson 55hp hydroelectric shift motor. The motor runs and idles in neutral, but when it's shifted to forward it stalls. It doesn't just cut out but the rpm's slowly drop off and it then stalls. I can keep it running if i throttle it up but it won't idle. Can someone give me some ideas where I should be looking to correct this?
