Service Manual for J90PLSIF

I need a service manual for a 2000 90hp Johnson. The model # is J90PLSIF. Can't seem to find my model # online at the Johnson web site. Anybody find a service manual for this model #? I'm having problems with engine stalling and need a manual. Please help

www.outboardbooks.com offers books up to 1996 only. Anybody out there find a service manual for this year and model # without having to go to the dealer?

What's wrong with a dealer? You don't pay for shipping and you get the right book. That's where I got my book and sw for my E-Tecs.

I can think of lots of things wrong with the dealer. As it turns out there is no OMC manual for my year and model (according to the dealer web site and local dealer). I'll have to get a SELOC. Anyone out there have an opinion on SELOC service manuals?

SELOC is pretty poor, Clymer worse. Just my opinion from having owned both in the past.

Just looked on the BRP website ... all the 2000 J90PLS motors use shop manual 0787070 @ $67.20 and is shown as available. I don't know what the "IF" in the model code means other than a run number. I would call BRP customer service 1-847-689-7090 if you have questions.

Thanks for the help. I called BRP and found out that a manual for that model was never published. Even though the ID plate says year 2000, it's considered a 2001 model. That's what the BRP tech said anyway. "The 2001 model did not change significantly from the 2000 model". Based on what I found out and your help I ordered the 787070.

Not to be a wise guy,but your model # J90plSIf is a 2001 model.The SI stands for 01.

Understandable, as OMC went belly up ~2000. Glad you found what you needed.
