Here are the cable attachments. One one right is the sleeve that goes over the cable for the gear shift. Left one locks the cable into the hole in the cowl.

Hole in the cowl where the cable lock attaches. The holes above the tiller tube are for a plate which the steering arm attaches. I don't know that I would recommend a tube attachment like mine. The PO did it and I have never used it.
