Hello all,

Whew! Finished a digital tv antenna install on a Meridian 411 earlier. Pretty intense, so i wanted to share it with you all. The coax labeled "radar arch" behind the tv wasn't actually ran up into the radar arch. Someone forgot I guess. So the quest to run the cable begins...
There's a couple tubes going from the radar arch down... they just get you to the next chamber. that's the one inside the rear seat cabinet on the top deck. It's best to feed the coax through one of those holes and out the access hole in the cabinet first. I spent a few hours trying to fed it down... no way. Then you have to remove a speaker from the inside of the cabin and drill through both layers of fiberglass at an angle pointing toward the outside and back of the hull. Feed a wire fishtape through and retrieve it from the access hole. Attach your coax and feed it through. Then hook it up... we had to remove a Plantronics panel to pull it down. Can't figure out why the signal gets really bad with the "gain" pushed in, but hooked up a digital converter and the picture is great.

See ya round,
