Hi there,
I was looking at a few sites, and they were discussing how much oil add,they were saying 12.8oz to 5 US Gallons, I thought it was closer to 16oz to 5 US Gallons for a 50:1 ratio.This is not the first site that I read this on,I found a small equipment site that had a nice printable chart.What is your take on this??

Re: mix ratios

no, a 50:1 would be 16 oz. for 6.5 gallons. (1 gal = 128 oz. (16 oz*50)/128= number of gallons)

Close but not perfect.
16x50=800 800:128=6.25 gallons

12.8x50=640 640:128= 5 gallons

Re: mix ratios

yup, you're right. sorry, my math was wrong.

but long story short, for my 33hp, 50:1, i used one pint for a 6 gallon tank.

Re: mix ratios

Get a $3 mixing bottle with all the ratios marked...think I got mine at stuffmart. Works great and I don't have to wonder if I'm getting the numbers/amounts right.

Re: mix ratios

I use the mixing bottle too. It lets me know how much gas I have to add when I use the last of my oil...
