Adjusting/cleaniing carbs?

I think I would like to clean my carbs and re-adjust them. would anybody like to give me the run down on how to do this. I have done meny dirt bikes and motorcycle but never an outbaord. is there anything I might need to do so. thanks.

Depends on what year, but if you've done the carbs on 2 stoke motors you won't have any problem with the one's on the Force motors. They're very simple. Usually all you need is the bowl gasket and a needle valve. Need some carb cleaner and possibly some fine wire to poke through the small idle passages. Compressed air is also a big help. One of those blow guns with the rubber tip with a compressor works great.

Thank you very much. now If I remember right you put the screws back in until they barely touch if not at all and back them off 2 1/2 turns, is this the same on an outboard. and sorry I forget to put the year and motor up all the time. I think im talking to my friends here at home. 1990 force 50hp 507x90d

Any where from 1 to 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated. Not 2 1/2 turns.
