does any one know the correct gap for the spark plugs for 1978 9.8 merc 110 thunderbolt thanks

A thunderbolt ignition doesn't have breaker points so you dont have to worry about that.

Hi

jake505 is right except for this.
If you troll with this engine you have to run L77J4C's in them gapped at .040
to get a better fuel burn during long trolling sessions. They work fine for normal usage fishing too. Merc had a service bulletin on them.
