Default Single Axle Pontoon Trailer

I have a single axle center lift style pontoon trailer that is very tippy. The springs seem to be too soft and the boat, even at standstill will rock side to side very easily. It is outfitted with 1850lb springs and I have been considering upgrading the springs to 2500lb or 3000lb springs to give it greater stiffness. The Mfg of the trailer makes a higher capacity trailer with a tandem axle that uses the exact same frame. Can the higher capacity springs provide more stability in this case? For me, it is a difference of $60 for new springs or about 400-500 to upgrade trailers.Any opinions would be appreciated.. Thanks..

Can't lose gambling on the $60.00 springs. Don't go to stiff, though, you may end up without enough give and lose some control on the corners or bumps. Spend $60.00 to save $500.00, sounds like a deal to me. You can spend the rest on bait.
