[Free Bird]

I am restoring an old Boston Whaler (1972) with a 15" transom. The weight of the motor is a concern. The boat could hold a 40 hp when it was designed but Yamaha doesn't seem to make a 2 cycle 40 anymore. I'm thinking of buying a new short shaft 25 hp. They come with a tiller. My main question is would it be possible to convert it to remote controls? If so, what parts to convert do I need? And what steering parts if I am going to use a Teleflex QC system?

if you are buying a new motor from dealer they should make a remote model.you can convert a tillerhandle but it cost$$$
