I have a 86 200 Johnson runs great.
Heres the problem, when you first put it in gear its fine but you have to advace the throttle pretty far before it start going.
I mean you push the throttle forward the engine rpms do not move till you
have push the throttle more than a 1/3 of the way.
I have look the way the throttle cable moves under the engine cover,and tried adjusting the wheel on the cable but no reel difference.
Anyone got any ideas.

on some types of controls( like the ones I have) the first HALF of the throttle throw is just for engaging the gear.. the rest is for throttle
