Trailer attention

Finally left my boat at the mooring. First time I've been able to spend any time on just the trailer.

Started by trying to replace the torn carpet on the bunks. Of course, the wood was rotted pretty badly so it was off to Lowe's for some pressure treated wood and carpet runner. Not that bad of a job to do all things considered, and I think driving it on to the trailer will be alot easier.

Brakes...or lack thereof. I knew they weren't working but it looks like a complete overhaul this winter. Rusty master cylinder, rusted broken lines. Who knows what's under the drums.

Now, if my boat doesn't sink tonight...

don't forget to check and clean all the rusty places[spring shackles;etc] and bearings-you don't need any surprises:eek: good luck with the bunks

LOL...you've obviously never seen my trailer. If I cleaned all the rusty places I'd never get out on the water :p
