1997 Yamaha 20 oil leak

Hi guys,

I have a 1997 Yam 20hp long shaft.

Noticed a oil leak coming from the prop area down the skeg, guessing it is the propshaft seals.

Anyone have experience changing these? I dont have a repair manual, but from the parts diagram it doesnt look to hard. Any advice would be appreciated.

If oil is clear then most likely a bad prop shaft seal, but if oil is black may just be from exhaust and no big deal. seal replacement can't be too much trouble on that small motor. Good Luck!
