Hello and thanks for taking the time to read/respond.
I am a total newbie on here so please bear with me.
I am now the new owner of a Fabuglas Trident 170 II.
The hull number is FABHO173M75G. If I am reading that correctly, it is a 1975 model? That is question #1.
#2: the engine has a tag OMC165 on top with a tag near the stern that has
model 990228A and a s/n of W485145. also found another number F07124SD.
#3:The outdrive has a flat top with OMC on it. 5 bolts hold it to the lower unit. There is a number near the transom that reads A2194.
although the seats and vinyl and carpet are junk, I do not feel any soft spots
while walking on the deck. The hull looks good, I don't see any dents or obvious patches.
So, should I run from this project (i have time and space to work on it without disrupting family or friends) ? If I stay with it, what pitfalls should I look for?
If nothing else, I will pull the engine/drive, sell the trailer, and put the hull in the backyard for the grandkids to play on.
Thanks in advance for any and all responses and suggestions.
Scott
