Can anyone please tell me what the compression should be on a 1971 Johnson 2 HP outboard motor?

There are too many variables to set a spec, Gary. If she compresses over 60psi you are probably okay.

Thank you for your help. The motor checked out close to 100. All must be good. I guess that 2 hp. will not give you much push, but it still beats the heck out of rowing.
