I just found and bought this boat. It seems really solid and well cared for. If anyone has input about this series of boats, and information to share, feel free.
I'm new to having my own boat. It has the 4 cyl I/O. Runs Nice and handles great. I have difficulty launching and loading, but still a rooky...

I bought it from the son of the owner who passed away. He was in the Coast gaurd so he knew how to take care of boats. He also always stored it inside.

Re: 1968 SRV 185 Sea Ray

I have the 1968 Searay SRV 185 Traveller with a 175 Evinrude OB. Spent the last 5 months going over it including wiring, gas tank, interior lighting, flooring, seats, stearing and bimini top. The previous owner really knew nothing about boats. Someday I may get around to the paint job. I find it a bit heavy and it certainly likes it's fuel. It is fun to drive though especially opened up at 55 mph. If you would like pics, let me know. Have fun with the new boat.
