I have just received a 1957 Johnson AD-11 From my geand father and can't find a fuel line that has the right connectors. The ones I have found have room for two connection points on each end and the motor has 3 connection points. As you can guess I'm new to the motor business and am hoping someone can help me out PLEASE..

Re: Johnson AD-11

Actually now happens to be an excellent time to get a two line pressure tank on ebay. There is a glut of tanks on there right now. Three that are ending in a little over three hours. and three more that are ending in the next day or so. All with fittings and all in pretty good shape. No major rust or dents and no broken ears. About half are 4 gallon and half are six gallon.

Just make sure it's a pressure tank. There are a lot of regular tanks on there too.

So an AD what's that, a 5.5 or a 7.5 I can never remember? Either one originally came with a four gallon tank I think. So you could use either a 4 gallon or a 6 gallon tank. Any one of those you get you'll want to rebuild before using it. laingesoutboards.com sells a rebuild kit. You'll need to specify if it has a black plastic primer button or a metal primer button. For what it's worth being a 57 that one originally came with the black plastic button tank. But either will work fine. Good luck!

Cheers.....................Todd

Re: Johnson AD-11

the engine has a gas line running to the filter and a gas line running from the filter to the engine, the second line from the tank is an air line that connects to the engine, make sure the one pumping gas goes in by the carb.
