cooling water

can anyone describe the path of cooling water after it leaves the impeller on a johnson 130hp.my engine overheats new pump new t-stats.water gets very hot but discharge flow is strong.

check the head temp with an infrared thermostat. should be 140-160. could be bad deflectors in the system.

That pee stream water on my old eveinrude gets hot too, it's heat being removed from the engine, put a thermometer in the stream and see what the temp is. I can't keep my hand in the stream on mine, but than again I can't keep my hand in the full hot tap water in my house either @ 140 degrees. are you sure it's overheating?
