There might be a sticker some where on the engine that should tell you the real gap, Some of the engine manufacturer's varry, some are 35, some are 40, some are 45. Sorry I know this does not help much. what part number and brand plug do you have? Also what engine style do you have carbed, EFI, And what does the letters start with like [GL] [GXI]???
