1984 9.9 hp johnson to a 15 hp?

To boast my 9.9 hp to a 15 hp .Do i have to change something else or just the carburator of a 15 hp will do? thank you.It is a 1984 .

The jury is still out on this one. Go to the link and compare part numbers and see if it is that simple. You can do a search on this forum to hear what everyone has to say about the conversion. One thing I've found strange is I don't remember reading a single post from someone who has done it and posted the result. I'm not saying it can't be done but I do wonder if it is worth while. Thank you Rick for your answer.There is a man at our lake that did it with a yamaha but i was wondering if with my johnson i could do the same.Thank you sir. Ps.That will be my winter project i will let you know how it went ciao.Anthony..

You will get a few more MPH at WOT with a significantly improved hole shot and pick up speed.
