Default ALuminum repair...

I have an older aluminum boat and if we are out for like an hour there is about 1/2 a gallon of water in it. I have a full floor so it's kinda tough to see where it is coming from. any hints on finding and fixing the problem without tearing the flor out of it? How is the best way to fix aluminum without costing double what the boat cost?

What kind of boat, how big, is the floor removable? If it is a riveted boat I'd bet that the one of the rivets is leaking. Really the only way to find it unless there is an obvious loose one is to fill the boat with water and see where it's leaking. Then you can rebuck the leaking rivits and coat all the rivets with Gluvit.

No, You have to access the rivet. Have someone hold a hunk of steel or big hammer (a sledge head works well if you've got nothing else) against one side and pound the other side to reseat the rivet. The piece of metal that you hold against the one side is actually called a buck.
