I have a 2004 Triton SF21 w/200efi merc. Motor runs well (approx. 60mph with 40 gals fuel, 3 batts, 325lb "pilot". My question is I have found that the motor does not trim to the point where there is the "rooster tail"...there is nothing, no hump, nada. In looking at how the tilt/trim motor is mounted, I see that the tt motors bottom mounting bolt(s) are on the very last holes on the Engine transom mounting bracket. Can the tt motor be mounted in any of the holes above, in theory, so the motor trim will raise the engine higher? I also noticed on the trim gauge that when trimmed all the way down, the gauge reads below (past) the down indicator. If there is a way, can someone share how to make this adjustment and let me know if there are things I need to look out for?
Thanks
