Exclamation Aluminum hull repair

I recently purchased a Fisher 180 Marsh Hawk and have no issues other than the boat takes on water at an alarming rate. I have followed all of the advice and have filled up the boat and found 1 crack about 6 inches above the keel. This crack is about 1.5" long. I also seem to have two other leaks under the keel beam. Is my best course of action to try jb weld or the stick epoxy? Will these last long term or am I just putting off the inevitable in having the keel welded the length of the boat and a patch welded over the crack? Please advise.

being a welder myself I would have it welded, as you said JB or epoxy will hold for awhile but eventually you will have to do it again or get it welded so I would pony up now and do it right.

The problem is you can't weld the keel, there is almost always a rubber gasket or sealer under it and as soon as you start welding it melts and gets into the weld but I would say the keel leaks are from lose rivets and can just be rebucked, which you can do yourself.

On the other hand, jb weld and the like is cheap. Yeah, you will end up redoing it but it can buy you time to save the cash and still fish
