Outdrive ratio unknown

I have 2001 Regal 2860 with twin 4.3 GXi engines. The outdrives are
Volvo Penta SX-M S/N 4202023309 and 08. We can not see ratio due to corrosion. We are thinking they are either 1:66 or 1:79 as this was the most common for engine size and year. Anyone know the best way to find out. Live in remote area of midwest, far from any dealers or shops that know volvo. Thanks

Thanks. Boat is in water and was wondering if there is another way. Would volvo know since I have S/N numbers. any one know if there is a number to call. Other wise I will check next time I take of of water.

I could try but we have a large extended swimplate form that will make it tricky. I will try it in some shallow water this week end. I aprreciate ideas.
