I have a 1984 Mariner 40E. Some of the parts are not being made anymore and the ones that are are very expensive. I know this was built by Yamaha for Mariner. I looked at parts online and the carb rebuild kit for a 1990-1994 yamaha appears to have the same style of carbs. Are these interchangable??

Yes, other the the cowl, decals and color these motors they are the same. I have an '85 Mariner 30hp and every time I order a part for it it comes in a Yamaha box, and have found that if I order Yamaha parts for the same year and hp as my Mariner they are the same even thought the part #'s do not match the Mariner diagrams.
