Re: Water pump pressure??
I just ran into someone last week who said they had their motor at a shop to ge the water pump done every year and a "pressure check". Sounded like a load of crap to me....I dont' see how it is important.
I have never pressure checked a water pump......gotten by for years and years with lots and lots of motors. You can tell pretty easy if you have enough water coming out just by eyeballing it. If it's low/weak just do a quick impeller job and problem is solved.
I'll run a motor, obverve good water pumping, and can use my fingers to tell if a motor is getting to hot or not. If you are below 163 you can usually put your fingers on a motor. It is what I call unfortablly warm, but not enough to instantly blister the skin.
If you touch it and OW it's really hot then ya know you have a problem....
If it's borderline I get out the therm o melt sticks or digital temp gauge.
