I'd like to soak but don't know how far up those elbows go. What is the preferred method ?

My manual for a 1993 60hp says not to soak them, but to simply clean all the passages and orifices with wire of something.

I guess then SOAKING is only for the carb body and all small parts. I am thinking tobacco pipe cleaner for cleaning out larger orifices and passages.

I use piano wire or guitar string.
