Ahoy!
New member here. Recently purchased a 1972 Mako 231 Console boat. The boat is generallyin very good condition. I have notices some stress cracks on both sides of the boat abeam of the console . The cracks are on top of the guwales running fore and aft, and about 4" to 5" inches long. I realize the first step of making a repair is to remove the source of the stress. Any ideas as to the source and how I might eliminate it. Once that is done what is the best approach to repairing them.
Thanks!
