I just finished running 2 new OEM Yamaha cables but I don't know the proper steps in adjusting them. IT's a 91 Yamaha 2stroke 150 OB. All help is appreciated this is the last thing I have to do before taking it out. I have the 704 top shift.

on the box end thread the cable end on until the cable threads just start appearing,on the engine end adjust the shift so that in the <n position the slide marks line up with the shift bracket marks and adjust the throttle end so that when the throttle is returned to idle the magneto control lever is on the stop.
DO NOT shift into any gear without an assistant rotating the prop shaft. bad things can happen.
