2007 Volvo Penta 3.0 gl Hard start Rough Idle

Hi my volvo Penta is fresh out of warranty and I am having problems with it Rough starting and idle but runs great if you gas it. I just pulled and replaced the plugs and there was oil on the top of the part past the threads still have the same problem with idle and starting with new plugs and now I am worried about the oil>> Is this something I should worry about and what else should I check for rough idle and start............... Thanks in advance for any advise, Mike

try carrying out a compression test.

Ayuh,... My 1st guess is, it's a Carb problem... Change the fuel filters...

Please feel free to read the archived posts, but please don't reply to them. This thread is over a year old, and I'm sure he has fixed the problem by now.
