I hope I am posting this in the right section.

Ok I will be starting the process of redoing my boats upholstory, I am gutting the boat ad sarting from scratch since most of the seats are borken or missing hinges and what not. Here is a pic of how I am gonna set it up but I would like some help on the color scheme through out. It will have a tan colored carpet and I already have white and another tan vinyl that I will be using. Can someone help me out here I have hit a wall. BTW I would like to through in a little red also.

I was thinking of just runing stripes all the way back like I have on the front seats but I think it will look a little plain. Alot of boats have designs on the dog house and that area but I just don't know.

Re: Need some design help

red and tan really don't go well together.

best thing you can do to get ideas is go to all the different boat dealerships in the area and look at what they are selling, and the colors that are used in the interior, depending on your skill level or if your getting a professional to do it, if you want only a lil red somewhere piping would be your best option ( trim around seams of the seats/upholstery)

but your really better off checking dealerships or even go down to the local launch and see what other people have on there boats, they may not like a stranger checking out there boats but most are friendly enough.

Red & Tan most definitely go together, I think.

Thanks for all your input and yes it is being done by a professional with the help of me. My neighbor owns his own upholstory business and I just bought an industrial sewing machine to learn on so I think it would come out ok. But as of tonight I am up in the air on the project, there is a guy that wants to trade me my Jeep for his Sleek Craft which is the boat I have been wanting for a while now so things may change.
