My buddy got his tabs installed with the help of Iboats and Nauticus. He ordered them from here too. Needs the sealant to cure today before we can test them. Hopefully they will make his 17 footer ride a little smoother. It would beat you to death in choppy lake water.

Re: Smart Tabs Installed

My boat is a 17 footer too and the chop really beat it up bad. I put the tabs on and now the ride is very smooth and comfortable. He will definitely notice and improvement.

Looks nice. I'm waiting for my protroller brackets to show up and then I will be installing my smart tabs. Really looking forward to the lowering planing speed.

Re: Smart Tabs Installed

duscarter,

Dude, your starboard actuator/shock absorber is on upside down!

I thought I was the only one who did that.

See http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=331680

It turns out that it DOES make a difference.

Check my referenced post. The inventor of the Smart Tabs (Jdeagro) gives a nice tip on how to flip the actuator without having to try to remove the plastic pins. Took about 2 minutes.

Re: Smart Tabs Installed

Why so close together they should be farther apart by the install directions?
