I bought bad fuel , I've always been careful to add Stabill and Seafoam to all the fuel I buy , but I apparently bought fuel with a lot of water in it and it shut me down six miles from shore while I cleaned the water from the small filter separator on the engine . My question is does anyone use a remote mount fuel water separator on this size two stroke ? My concern is it will be too much for the fuel pump on this size outboard . Thanks

I ran one of these on my Yamaha 90. Best thing to have.

I run the Walmart brand($27)fuel/water seperator on my Yamaha 90C 2 stroke and it works like a charm...no more water or trash in carbs at all. Good luck!

Also, drain your carb float chambers several times until your water/contaminated fuel issue clears up. Good Luck!
