I just got my dads 52 Lightwin running again. It had been rebuilt around 20yrs ago. It ran pretty well. After it sat on its side for several hrs, I picked it up and some fuel ran out of the water intakes just above the gear case area.
What could cause this? Any ideas?

Good on you for getting it running. You should visit the Top Secret File at the top of this forum and read about things to do after long periods of rest. Was it fresh fuel or dark brown/blackish gray stuff. If the later, it is perfectly normal and not to be concerned about. It is simply unburned mix that didn't get blown out by/with the exhaust.
