I have a stray black wire from the ignition amplifier. The wiring diagram shows it going to the distributor through a grounded bolt. Looking at the bottom of the distributor there's one machine screw sticking out far enough to attach the wire and I found a small nut in the bilge. Is this where the black ground wire is supposed to be attached?

Thats where mine went but it became obsolete when I replaced the ignition sensor in the distributor.

Why would it become obsolete when replacing the ignition sensor? Doesn't the ignition amplifier still need to be grounded?
