Well i'm trying to take care of my 1995 suzuki dt140 engine and one of the things that the previous owener neglected was the overheat or low oil alarm was disconnected. Well I've tried to call three different dealers and none of them can tell me exactly 1) which wire connects to the alarm from the harness and 2) upon starting the engine, how long is it supposed to stay on (short beep or until water or oil pressures are established.

I have spent a few hours under the dash looking for the wire coming out of the harness and can only see some of the wires that have been capped off and don't seem to get 12volts out of any of them when the key is engaged and the engine not started. So, my question to the forum is "which color wire goes to the buzzer/alarm?" And, from where does it originate. I would really really appreciate any feedback as any engine w.out an audible alarm is a ticking time bomb.

thanks again
dave
