Mercury 25 backfires out of exhaust is flywheel key shered?
Checked everything,good spark ,compression,fixed some wires from under the flywheel.

can't tell by picture, they are usually in 2 pieces if sheared. also could be timing off. moving to merc forum.

Looks shearred to me, but it could be okay and the trouble is that spark has switched cylinders.

$1.50 will tell you for sure. Just replace it and try it, the flywheel looks O.K.
