My engine blew the other day, sounds like a rod. Anyways I have twins and dont want to rebuilt just one. besides rebuilding one is real expensive and i dont think the engine is worth it. My question is how much do you guys think it worth.

there's folks who deal in used outboard motors/parts who would probably make you a nice offer for the entire motor. the foot alone is worth maybe $1500, other parts have good value. maybe you should remove heads and exhaust cover to see how much time,trouble and $$$ to repair it...still be cheaper than a new motor. also you could identify and correct exactly what caused your engine component failure. check used Yamaha motors/parts sites for names/locations of dealers.
