I have a Merc 200 EFI that will not idle properly. When I first take it out it idles perfect for about 10 minutes. Once I run it any distance, it will no longer idle. Runs perfect all day at any speed but when I go to neutral, it goes dead and will not start up again unless I give it gas while in neutral.
I changed fuel filter, plugs, wires, and oil filter - no help.
Took it to a marina to be repaired, $300 later - no change. The marina said it might need a new VST tank - $700. I called another marina that said it didn't sound like a vst tank.
Anyone have any idea what this could be before I spend alot of money?
