after it sitting in my back yard for two years, I've decided to start repairs on my boat. when I acquired it, it had been sitting uncovered for over 30 years and closer to 40. the main problems are a cracked windshield and a rotted deck.
While looking at 1/4" plywood, I was wondering if there was something else I could use that wouldn't rot so easily. I was thinking something like 'hardy backer', the stuff they hang tile on, but my bro-in-law said it gets soggy when wet. which seemed weird for something used around wet surfaces.
Is there a good product with which I can lay down before fiber glassing?
I might also need to repair some decking in my '78 Baretta, too.
